THEPINK COWSHED

THE WORLD HAS TASTE. THE COW HAS ISSUES.

Software should be as ordinary as making a decent cup of tea.

A beautiful Founder interface over serious professional development machinery. You express intent. The Cow handles the unnecessary bullshit.

FIELD NOTES / EXPERIMENT 001

The shortest distance between an idea and the thing.

01

YOU HAVE AN IDEA

A useful thought arrives at an inconvenient moment.

02

TELL THE COW

Plain English. No terminal incantations required.

03

NERDS GO DOWNSTAIRS

Branches, tests and previews happen out of sight.

04

REAL SOFTWARE APPEARS

You inspect the thing before anyone ships it.

THE SERIOUS BIT

Who gets to make software?

AI is making coding astonishingly easier. Software development still arrives with repositories, branches, permissions, build failures and an alarming number of acronyms.

The Pink Cow Shed is an experiment in hiding none of the professional safeguards while making far less of the machinery somebody else’s problem. More creative, purposeful and unusual people should be able to build useful things.

“Preview first. Regret is not a testing strategy.” — Cow’s advice

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING IN THE SHED

Ridiculous interface.
Serious machinery.

Marcus is currently dogfooding the first Cow against four real projects—including this one. There are no customers, no pricing page and absolutely no committee.
